Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide psychiatric stabilization and comprehensive evaluation, assessment, treatment, and integrated prescriptive services for adolescents found eligible for treatment services by implementing effective, multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment programs for troubled teens.
Founding Team
Jared Balmer, Ph.D., has over 30 years experience in the treatment of adolescents and their families. Dr. Balmer has founded a number of treatment facilities, including a specialty psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents. He has lectured widely across the U.S. on family and adolescent related issues and is the co-founder of Island View Residential Treatment Center and the Oakley School. He is the recipient of the 2006 Leadership Award of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs.
Mike Bulloch, L.C.S.W., is a seasoned therapist whose career is marked by his specialty in the diagnosis and treatment of adolescents and their families. He has practiced in a variety of settings which include outpatient care, acute care, residential care, and therapeutic boarding schools. Previous to joining the Institute, he served for six years as the Clinical Director of the Oakley School.
